L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream

8th September, 2011

Latest in Beauty are offering a L'Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream 5 days sample pack for £1.00 only, until the 9th October 2001. I've tried one sample before and really liked it, so decided to go for this offer to try it for a bit longer.

About the product:

£65.00 for 50ml

It has been voted to be the best Anti-aging Miracle Cream by the 2011 Anti-aging Beauty Bible.

Offers combined action of organic Immortelle and Myrtle essential oils to stimulate the production of collagens and improve skin microcirculation which helps to reduce damage caused by time and restore substance and vitality.

Myrtle essential oil stimulates within the skin, the action of the longevity protein to help increase cellular vitality to preserve the skin's appearance.

The formula is enriched with plant oils (34%) that contain a high level of omega-3 and -6 fatty acids, for a silky texture and excellent nourishing properties. Upon application, the sensation of well-being is immediate, while the skin feels wonderfully soothed.

From the very first use, the skin looks incredibly beautiful. After 4 weeks, it appears regenerated. It is visibly younger-looking and radiant, and the results are both instant and long-lasting.

My review:

The cream texture is thick and smooth like a mousse, but not at all greasy. For some reason, the first time I used it, I thought it smelled of lemon cream, but after a few more application I can't really describe it, not too unpleasant, but definitely not as nice as I initially thought it was. Anyway, my skin definitely feel smoother right after applying the cream, and after 2 days, it looks smoother as well.

Will keep an eye on the result.

I've finally used up the last bit of the sample pack. My skin is definitely smoother, but there isn't much else I can say, since according to L'Occitane the best result shows up in 4 weeks time from first using the cream.

I suddenly had a thought, what makes an anti-aging product an anti-aging product? Should it contain SPF to fight against the most harmful UV-rays? Alot of products out there, including this Divine cream doesn't have any SPF, but they are still the top rated anti-aging skincare.

I actually emailed L'Occitane customer service yesterday, but they haven't come back to me yet.

According to L'Occitane, their Divine Cream doesn't have SPF because its a day and night cream.
