One Pot Meal with the Rice Cooker


I don't know how supermarkets can do it, but two whole roast chickens for £5.00 is extremely cheap! Obviously we can't finish two whole chicken between the four of us, so we normally keep the second one in the fridge, and the next day I'd make a delicious yet simple one pot meal by adding the chicken, rice and lettuce into the rice cooker. The rice absorbs all the chicken juice and it becomes very tasty, while the chicken stays moist. Serve this with dark soya sauce and it becomes a very satisfying meal.


Ingredients:

1 whole Roasted Chicken, torn into parts
2 cups Rice
Lettuce, torn to pieces and washed



Method:

1. Wash the rice until the water runs clear, then add water to the rice until the water level is 1cm above the rice in the rice cooker.

2. Place the chicken parts on top of the rice. Don't forget the chicken jelly from the bag!

3. Press the cook button on the rice cooker and wait until it's done.

4. Once done, sprinkle the lettuce on top of the chicken and cover for about 2 minutes.

5. Serve the meal with Dark Soya Sauce.
