Peppa Pig World - Easter 2012 Day 2

Peppa Pig World, Paultons Park
Yesterday I posted about our first day (Saturday) at Peppa Pig World for Easter. As we took the Short Breaks deal that has included a second entry, which can be used within 3 days from the first entry, we went there again on Monday. We decided that we should take a break and relax on Sunday instead.

We were partially recharged (swimming can be tiring!) for Peppa Pig World again, but it has started to rain. We were going to go earlier but seeing that it was so miserable outside, we took our time enjoying breakfast at the Premier Inn (our hotel for the second night).

Parking on this day was easy as people who went there early left early as well, so we parked almost at the front near the entrance. I had to pick up a raincoat that is only £1.50 from Paultons Park's gift shop as the rain just wouldn't stop.

Can't see Abby from here
Although it has been really wet, cold and windy, we still enjoyed ourselves as there were no queues at all! Hubby and Abby started with a teacup ride in Paultons Park (not part of Peppa Pig World) and I was glad I didn't go on it. Just watching them made me dizzy!

None of the kiosks are open
While hubby froze his bottom off up in the Windy Castle with Abby, I looked around the park. It looked so different from two days ago. Even the kiosks weren't open, which meant that I couldn't encore my favourite hot dog. We did manage to grab another two lots of pop corns though!

After they came down, it has started to rain heavily so we went to hide inside George's Spaceship Play Zone, which is a good sized indoor play area. It is located right next to Daddy Pig's Big Tummy Cafe, and it has seats with plenty of high chairs in a corner for people to rest inside.

George messed about with Abby's hair lol
When the rain has stopped, we went out and found Peppa and George standing in front of Peppa Pig's Toy Shop. Abby had a fantastic opportunity to get another picture with them, but this time up close!

Grandpa Pig's Boat Trip, which looked quite fast!

They both enjoyed George's Dinosaur Adventure very much!
After the last two rides, we wandered around the border of Peppa Pig World and Paultons Park while waiting for the penguins' feeding time.

Paultons Park Trekking Tractor
Hubby and Abby went on the Paultons Park train ride, and me and Abby went on their Trekking Tractor ride, which I loved as there were loads of berries and fruit trees around the trek to see! I bet they'll look even more tempting during the fruiting seasons.

The feeding time wasn't really that interesting, but one of the penguin had been really cheeky by walking with the keeper so he/ she could get more fish without needing to swim to them. At one point the keeper had to shove the penguin off into the water!

During the Q&A session, Abby raised her little hand until she was spoken to, which I was impressed and proud of. She then asked the keeper whether she could feed the penguins. I thought she was really sweet and cute but then I also thought: smelly dead fish! Smelly dead fish! Luckily it was against their health and safety protocol, in case the penguins caught some bad stuff from the children. Pop corns anyone?!

Although we didn't spent most of our time at Paultons and Peppa Pig (half a day for both days), we had a fantastic time. I do think that it is best to wait until your child is at least four years old before going there, as most rides require children to be at least 900mm tall. By then they will be less scared at the rides, and they can enjoy themselves more.

Also, you might wanna plan your day with their map beforehand. On the Saturday we went, the average waiting time for each ride at Peppa Pig World was 30 minutes, and the peak season hasn't even started yet.

Another thing. Please don't be like some family who put one parent in the queue for a ride, and when the time comes, a whole bunch of children come running through the queue behind to get to the parent. Even if you have someone queueing for you, you will still be frowned upon!

And last but not least, a family holiday is not a holiday just for the kids. It is a holiday for the adults as well. So do enjoy yourself with a good meal and a lovely stay at a nice hotel! I'll update about our stay at Holiday Inn and Premier Inn soon!
