Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom The Elf Games, Ben and Holly DVD, The Elf Games

I don't know why I haven't discovered Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom before. I am really glad to have received their latest DVD Ben and Holly's Little Kingdom: The Elf Games to review. It's absolutely hilarious! I think I laughed at it more than Abby did! This is why I love doing reviews, it is a fantastic way to discover new products and services, and share with you what I think about it.

The DVD will be released on 14th May, 2012, retailed at £8.99. It has a total of 10 episodes to keep the little ones entertained without feeling overly repeated, if they choose to watch it over and over again. (We are currently on our seventh round and Abby can already cite the lines). The 10 episodes are:

1. The Elf Games
2. Cows
3. The Toy Robot
4. Dinner Party
5. Big Bad Barry
6. King Thistle's Birthday
7. The Wand Factory
8. Daisy & Poppy's pet
9. The Elf Rocket
10. Picnic on the Moon

My favourite character is Nanny Plum. She is really good at teaching the little children how to behave, yet she is the one causing most of the troubles, and she will pick on the Wise Old Elf whenever she has the chance. If she's a child, I'd say that she is cheeky and likes to test her boundaries!

The animation is really good and funny especially the facial expressions. You can really tell when a character is disapproving, being dumb or being suspicious about something.

The series teaches children that by misbehaving, you will get into all sorts of trouble. However, the odd characters, for example, the twins Daisy and Poppy in Daisy and Poppy's Pet can make children think that it is ok to misbehave. So it is good to watch it together with your children and tell them that those behaviours are not accepted.

We all (including hubby and Clay) enjoyed watching the DVD. It made us laugh from start to finish, although hubby said that it's quite destructive (especially shown in The Toy Robot, Big Bad Barry and Daisy and Poppy's Pet).
