I've mentioned before that my kids absolutely adore Raa Raa the noisy Lion when I wrote a preview for their brand new episodes. When TOMY offered me to review Raa Raa the Noisy Lion Interactive Toys including Raa Raa's Interactive Playset and Huffy, Topsy and Ooo Ooo Figures, I already knew that they would be over the moon. I just never expected that they'd love the toys THAT much!

When the lovely box of surprises (more about that in another post) had arrived, they couldn't stop poking at the boxed up toys. I had to nag them to stop breaking the box so that I could take some pictures first.

For a RRP of £34.99, you'll get Raa Raa's treehouse, Raa Raa figure, Cubby Buggy, Bongos, a ladder and a secret chest, and it's only RRP at £7.99 for a set of 3 figures.

The treehouse has a couple of smart spots where you can place and press down any (yes, ANY) Raa Raa the Noisy Lion figures and they will interact with the children with over 30 different phrases and sounds. I didn't want to sound daft, but I do wonder how the playset can recognise each figures!

The playset is light weight but well made, and the smart spot feature is very clever and definitely the way to go with playsets. It's really fun and my two couldn't stop playing with it. Clay laughed every time (not that often since he wasn't strong enough to press them down) he heard the familiar sounds and phrases from his favourite show. We even took the playset with us on holiday to keep them entertained when we were in the hotel resting. I think the only problem I had was the ladder wouldn't go on the treehouse as shown in the picture. But kids really have unlimited imagination. Abby placed the ladder in another angle and it worked!

She has also been asking me where Crocky and Zebby were. I told her that we could buy them, but we'll have an extra Raa Raa. She said: "Well that's okay, we'll just play and go 'Huh?! What are you doing here?!' (playing out her imaginated role play of Raa Raa being in two places at the same time)". And just like that, I was convinced that having an extra Raa Raa wasn't really a problem at all!

The range also includes Raa Raa's interactive Cubby Buggy (the one included in the treehouse playset isn't interactive), Hufty's interactive Train and individually packed figures. You can check out more about their range at TOMY's website.
