Pink Lining Wheelie Case

It's official. We are going back to Hong Kong and Taiwan this Winter to visit our family. We haven't been since 2009 so it will be nice to go back again. Our tickets are booked, passports renewed and applied (for Clay), now we just need to casually wait until December is here. I wish! The ridiculously expensive air fare (£4k spent already without even being on the trip yet) was like a wake up call to us. We are going back with 2 children. It takes 2 hand luggages to fit everything we need for a short weekend trip to my brother's, and that's excluding my giant busy-mum day bag. What will we need for 2 weeks in Winter time with heavy coats and thick clothing?! (Note, it's colder there as there is hardly heating indoors)

So new luggage shopping it is. Just doing a completely under-estimated calculation, we will need a large luggage, 2 hand luggages with one being checked in, and my GUESS bargain travel bag. Does it sound wrong to you as well?!

Anyway. Understanding my trouble, Pink Lining came to the rescue by offering me one of their wheelie case to review - Pink Lining Wheelie Case in Navy Bow.

Their wheelie case is a hand luggage size (51L x 21.5H x 29W cm), so you don't have to check it in. It is made with 90% cotton canvas coated in EVA laminate (environmental friendly, food-safe vinyl that is made without chlorine and plasticizers), which means that it is also baby friendly, and 10% cotton canvas. The inner lining is 100% nylon. The outer material feels strong, while the inner feels nice and smooth.

It  has 2 back wheels, so you can pull the luggage along in the airport. Do note that like all the other luggage on the market, the pull out handle has been greased. It's better to wipe it down before letting children touch it. The luggage has a shoulder strap that can be removed as well. So if you are in a rush, you can carry it on your shoulder like a bag and run, which is very handy as there were always times that we had to run for a transit.

The luggage contains a large outer pocket that opens on one corner, so you can easily pull passports and tickets out without everything falling out from it. The inner pocket is big enough to hold some valuables as well. The inner lining can be zipped up. I have seen this design before, but I never understood the purpose of it. Anyway, notice the hot pink inner lining? That's the trademark of Pink Lining and I love it!

I love the design as it's border unisex. Yes bows aren't very manly, but they aren't very obvious and they are in navy colour, while the zip is red, making it all very British. They have a black London cabs design as well, although it comes with a pink zip. I love that one too but I'm guessing that hubby might have a problem with it!

Their wheelie case cost £105.00 and can be bought from their online shop. Love their changing bags too! Now I'll wait until December to put the wheelie case to the real test, and I'll report back in January 2013.
