Miners Cosmetics Autumn 2012 EyeShadow

Miners Cosmetics, Miners Cosmetics Eyeshadow, Miners Cosmetics Harrods

One of my favourite makeup is eyeshadow. If you get it right, it's very fun to play with, and you can layer different colours to create a new effect. Miners Cosmetics, the brand that is celebrating their 75th years of making up the Nation and has just entered Harrods' 4th floor, has just launched their new Autumn 2012 eyeshadow colours, and I was given the privilege to try out their entire new range!

Eyeshadow Solos   £3.49 each

Two shades of every day classics and two shades of fashion inspired intense hues, and that's your Autumn day and night sorted! Although there are only four colours, you can easily mix and match them to create all sorts of effects. You can lighten up the emerald green Jewel with the white shimmer Luna for the day, or pair it with the matte navy Nautical for clubbing. Or use all three plus the gold shimmery Stardust as a highlighter (what? I'm sure that works!)! As all of Miners Cosmetics products, they are very affordable so you have a bit more budget to get the whole palette.

Eyeshadow Trios   £3.99 each

I was having lots of fun playing with the Trios, and even liked the colours that I thought I wouldn't! My favourite is definitely the blue Stone-Washed (top right). It's a safe colour for me as people have said that it suits me. I love the blue tones they've chosen for the trio, it's not just a shade darker than the other, but really creating an effect with 3 completely different mix.

My second favourite was the surprisingly pretty Goddess (bottom left). I'm not sure how good my picture is, but the effect really reminded me of an Egyptian princess! I must find an occasion to wear this!

Next up is the shimmery, smokey Humbug (top left). If you do it right (meaning I can't) you'll get a gorgeous smokey effect. The top right picture might show off the colours better.

Last but not least, the bronze and brown Safari. I had some problem blending the darkest shade as my fingers were too moist after wiping the previous colours off with wet wipes. I love the lightest shade, although I don't think I can pull this trio off. It's fantastic for people who love bronze/ tan though!

The colours aren't difficult to blend, and the choices are fantastic for this Autumn. They are very affordable for a brand that is good enough to enter Harrod's!

Just a quick mention, they do some exclusive products as well for Harrod's, so if you pop in to Harrod's, don't forget to look out for their Cocktail Kiss, an innovative lipgloss that once blended, they'll create an individual shade!
