Easter Party with Poundland

Poundland Easter, Easter craft, cheap craft

As a one pound shop, people would normally expect cheap quality products from Poundland. But then, the cost was never high for products such as craft materials and party-ware anyway. In fact, they have an impressive amount of Easter products, and there was no problem with the quality at all! We were sent a great selection of Easter crafts and party bags for our Easter party.

The cute Happy Easter Bags (2 pack for £1) are reusable carrier bags. The bottom doesn't open up but it's great to store things such as craft materials. I'm using them now for that purpose!

The Medium Easter Gift Bags (2 pack for £1) on the right of the above picture is great to be used as party bags. I stuffed each of them with colourful tissue paper (see last picture below) before putting party favours, chocolate eggs and snacks in. Poundland has a £1 pack of Tissue Wrap (15 sheets, 6 pastel colours - pink, dark pink, yellow, dark yellow, lime green and baby blue) perfect for this as well as for decorating eggs.

We've also received a pack of pink Easter Straw (again, £1). The material is stronger and it looked a bit like tracing paper. I used these to make a nest for my egg! The 12 colourful Plastic Eggs (£1) were being used as well on top of the 8 hard boiled eggs. My sister in law used them in her mini Easter Basket, which looked really good! The left over plastic eggs were used for game play after the party and storage for special little bits!

Poundland has also sent me a pack of 6 Make Your Own Egg Characters (£1) for the children to make. We would have made these but the kids were full of creativity and they used the pack together with other materials to create their own little creations. There was enough materials to make the characters on the packaging, but the most useful thing in the packet for the kids were the egg (card paper) holder as they were a fantastic way to keep the eggs still! My older niece has also used the pig materials to create a pig her way, which was extremely cute!

For decoration, we used their Easter Paperchains Kit (Guess how much?) and hang a few short chains along the curtain rail, and their really really pretty Eggs on Stakes (10 pack in 5 colours, £1) to decorate the table as well as part of the party bags afterwards.

They have way more products than the ones we were sent for the party, and I honestly think that they were good enough to be used for any party. You can follow Poundland on Twitter and Facebook for up to date information.
