Easter with ASDA

ASDA Easter, ASDA Party, ASDA Seasonal

I have noticed since last Christmas that ASDA seems to be stocking more seasonal products (and I don't mean just food) than before. I don't remember seeing that many Easter products before, but they have a wide range of party, craft and decorations products, great for an affordable party!

We were sent a selection of Easter products from ASDA for our party, including the really cute Easter Bunny Honeycomb Decoration (£1 each) we used as a centre piece for our party table and as a backdrop for the decorated Easter eggs, and a really really long Easter Galand (£1 each) that has transformed the room instantly to a party room! They can be easily folded back and reused as well.

The stack of 12 Happy Easter Plates (£1) has a really cheerful and colourful design that looked like you bought it from one of those party specialist shop! They have matching cups too.

I've used the Ceramic Chick Snack Plate (£2 each) for the mini chocolate chicks and rabbits. They looked so much better on the plate than keeping them in their original box!

We were also sent a pack of 6 large Bright Fillable Eggs (£1) that I've filled with paper straws and mini chocolate eggs, and put the eggs in the party bags, which were actually baskets from their Easter Egg Hunt Kit (£2 kit for 4 children). The kit contains numbered egg cards, 4 bunny masks, egg hunt directions, the baskets and instruction. The bunny masks made them look really cute when they were hunting around, though it made the hunt a bit more challenging for them hehe.

On the day of the party a parcel full of yummy food from ASDA has arrived, but it was unfortunate that I actually held the party at my brother's house! I should have mentioned it to the PR team, the Egg Hunt Chocolate Basket Kit (£4) and Different flavour Hot Cross Buns (£1 per pack) would have been perfect for the party!

It was the first time I saw a store selling different flavoured hot cross buns, I bet the kids would have loved these! It was really unfortunate that the parcel was left at the post office for a couple of days, and since it was fresh buns, it couldn't be kept long so we didn't get to try the yummy buns! Hubby bought the cranberry flavour to work and he really liked them, I bet these would have been equally good!

I've also bought other party food from ASDA, including their fairy cakes that I decorated with Betty Crocker's Buttercream Style Icing (cake holder was also from ASDA), Bunny Bites from their bakery that has a really soft marshmallow inside the white chocolate, Extra Special Strawberry and White Chocolate Popcorns, Chosen By You crisps, marshmallow chicks, and assorted oven party food that I should have baked for a bit longer but nice nonetheless!

We've certainly seen a big change in ASDA, and glad that we have one within 15 minutes walking distance from our house! Follow them on Facebook and Twitter for updates, offers and giveaways.
