Hotel Chocolat's New Arrival

Hotel Chocolat New Baby Gifts, luxury chocolate for mums, royal baby gifts

With the Duchess of Cambridge Kate's pregnancy came a great selection of new baby products on the market. One of the more enticing one for us is Hotel Chocolat's gourmet New Baby Gifts range. We were sent a lovely New Arrival Selection (£14) to try, which made me feel almost as joyful as a new mum/ mum to be!

The New Arrival selection is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm not just talking about the look and taste of the chocolates. I really love the gift box's design, which is sophisticated and neutral, perfect for any mums-to-be or new mums, and you don't even need to wait until you know the baby's sex before you can buy them as a gift.

The selection gift box includes Raspberry Pannacotta, Simple Milk Truffle, Simple White Truffle, Dizzy Praline, Dizzy Praline - Dark, and Billionaire's Shortbread. I think that the Simple White Truffle is really outstanding. You can clearly see the vanilla seeds in the ganache, and they were very generous as well as you can really smell and taste it. I have enjoyed every single one of the chocolates, though I had to fight with my children as, unfortunately, they have spotted them! Otherwise I would have loved to put my feet up and indulge in them all by myself!

After all the hard work of carrying the baby and giving birth, mums are certainly entitled to some quality Me Time. And I would choose gourmet chocolate to go with it! The range starts from £1.50 Mini Munchkins for Boys/ Girls, which would make a lovely favour, to £35 for a New Arrival Collection that includes a cute Trainee Chocolatier bib for the baby and 20cl bottle of sparkling rose for the parent. Now that would really make a lovely gift!
