My little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Call of the Cutie DVD

My little Pony, Friendship is Magic, Call of the Cutie DVD

Being a My Little Pony fan since young and with Abby being one now as well, we have really enjoyed reviewing My little Pony's Friendship is Magic - Welcome to Ponyville DVD. And this month we got the chance to review the second installment - Call of the Cutie too!

To be honest, I didn't remember much about the original My Little Pony's story, but I heard that much has changed in the new remake. The first DVD tells the backbone story of My Little Pony - the relationship between Princess Celestia and her little twin sister Nightmare Moon, as well as the power of Friendship.

The second DVD - Call of the Cutie, gives a bit more background information about the Cutie mark on each My Little Pony's flank. Aparently ponies don't get the Cutie mark until they found their natural talent.

During a class, Apple Bloom (middle yellow pony) and her classmates learned about the Cutie mark that they will only show when they have found their natural talent. To her despair, she was the only one in the class that hasn't discovered her natural talent yet, but she soon realised that she wasn't alone, and together with Sweetie Belle (left) and Scootaloo (right), the 3 of them formed the Cutie Crusaders and vowed to help each other seek their Cutie mark.

Throughout their natural talent discovering journey, they were given support by Twilight Sparkle and her friends Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Applejack, who by telling their own Cutie Mark stories, found out that the power of friendship has shone on the 6 of them way before they met each other, and even helped every one of them discover their Cutie marks. Will the Cutie Crusaders find theirs through the friendship magic too?

Abby said that she loved this DVD more as it wasn't scary at all (she was scared of Nightmare Moon), and we all found each characters really funny and no matter who they are, they each ended up doing silly things! The new My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic - Call of the Cutie DVD is out since Monday 14th October 2013 with rrp £14.99, and you can buy it from all good retailers.
