Christmas with Hotel Chocolat

Christmas chocolates, Hotel Chocolat, luxury chocolates

As Christmas is nearing us (less than a month to go, yay!!), the festive feeling gets stronger and stronger. With it being so cold now, comfort food and something indulgence is always craved for, including some quality, luxuriously smooth chocolates of course! If you have been doing Christmas shopping, and have walked passed Hotel Chocolat's store, you must have seen their amazing range of Christmas Chocolates selection! I was over the moon when we received a box of their fantastic Sleekster Classic Christmas selection chocolates to try, and it was amazing! Then I thought, every year I buy chocolates to share during Christmas with my family, why not add a bit more "lux" this year and share some of Hotel Chocolat's Christmas chocolates selection with them?

Of course, I had to make sure I put them out of sight as soon as, so we won't "accidentally" finish them before we meet up with the gang, but I decided to add some images of what we've bought, just to show you what other delicious chocolates they do! To my family who will be there and reading this: don't let the others know!

Christmas Mess

The Sleekster Classic Christmas Selection (300g, 28 pieces of chocolates, £23.00) contains a fantastic variety of Christmassy chocolates that will sure please anyone in the family! The Christmas Tree Decorations (White Chocolate & Vanilla Bell, Dark Christmas Tree, 50% Milk Bauble, Praline Crisp Star and Caramel Supernova) will make all the children scream "It's Mine!", where as the Alcohol Chocolates (Marzipan & Amaretto Truffle, Rum Punch, Mulled Port and Chambord Royale) will keep the adults warm and relaxed: "Go ahead and fight, it's all cool" . My favourite, however, is the assorted Christmas inspired artisan chocolates (Christmas Mess, Cranberry Cup, Nutmeg & Almond Praline and Pistachio Praline Crunch).

My top favourite is the Christmas Mess, which not only is delicious, but when you bite into it, you can see all the beautiful layers of different ganache and mousses inside the cup. Then there is the gorgeous Chambord Royale that is a real Champagne truffle blended with black raspberry liqueur, and the Mulled Port, which contains a bit more heat than the Chambord Royale but equally delicious!

The White Chocolate & Vanilla Bell was surprisingly smooth without that choking sweetness that normally comes with white chocolate. I usually get an itchy throat after eating white chocolate, but none whatsoever with this! So even if you aren't a white chocolate fan, I recommend anyone to give Hotel Chocolat's white chocolate a try.

If you don't have a particular favourite chocolate in mind, love Christmas infused chocolates, or if you are looking for something to share with your family, I'd absolutely recommend this Sleekster Classic Christmas Selection.

Having taken a look at Hotel Chocolat's fabulous Christmas selection, I couldn't resist and bought the above chocolates. The Rabot 1745 Wreath Small (100g), made with high quality rare 75% dark chocolate and other luxurious ingredients sounded like it should cost a bomb, but it's an affordable £9.50! I can't wait to try this rare dark chocolate wreath!

The Kirsch Cherry & Hazelnut Buche (160g, £9.00) and 2 star Great Taste Gold Award Hazelnut Buche Dark & Nutty Chocolate Log (160g, £9.00) are both made for slicing and sharing. 2 stars, mmm!!! Then there is of course something for the kids (so we don't have to share ours): the Dasher Lick chocolate lollies (35g, £1.95 each) and the Dark Ho Ho Ho Pillow Pack (30g, £2.50; might keep this for myself.. *cough), all too scrumptious looking!

Hotel Chocolat have many more choices in their Christmas selection, there is bound to be something for everyone! There is also a lot of bloggers doing Hotel Chocolat Christmas chocolates giveaway on their blogs at the moment that are worth entering, just type 'Hotel Chocolat' in Twitter's search box (without hashtag) and you should be able to find them.
