As fans of LEGO, we would never give up on any opportunity to review their products. This time we reviewed the LEGO Friends Heartlake City Pool Set, and I was the most excited one in this house as it's my favourite range (Abby, like her daddy, loves the LEGO City range most)! The Heartlake City Pool set was her choice though.

We are loving the colour range LEGO has added to their collection. After having built a couple of sets from the LEGO City range, the bright pink and blue are certainly refreshing! We are always fascinated with LEGO's designs for both the construction sets and the individual pieces, and it's no different this time. I was most impressed with the public toilet and shower unit, it's really simple, clever and adorable! We also love the flowers and bugs packet, which I initially thought should have added other colours as well, but after adding the pieces together, I thought that it was the right decision to keep them all the same colour or it might be too much when blended together with the blue and pink.

We also love the speakers, Jacuzzi and the colourful lights on the snack store! Clay couldn't wait to play with the set, especially when he noticed that there is a ball he can "throw" into a basket. I had to tell him to wait while we built the pool up! The slide caught both the kids' attention as well. This is certainly a full of fun construction set to get for the LEGO Friends fans! I wonder whether this would be on your child's Dream Toys for 2013 Christmas list?

We went through our LEGO Friends collection and found another 2 LEGO Friends to play with! It's odd how we ended up with a few duplicates but never Mia? I must go out and find a Mia set to complete our characters collection!
