(Warning: A certain level of spoilers included)

We've been waiting for this ever since we've completed LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes game! We are glad to have received one of their promotion pack to review their XBox 360 version of LEGO Marvel Super Heroes Game, and I even played until 2am in the morning, so I can tell you more about what we think so far (I've played up to chasing after Doctor Octopus) before it hits the shelves!

The Marvel villains are getting together to create the ultimate super-weapon that is capable of destroying the world in LEGO Marvel Super Heroes! It's down to us to help the Marvel Super Heroes including Hulk, Spiderman, Fantastic 4, Iron Man, Captain America, Wolverine and many more to stop them. We are to chase down Cosmic Bricks as we travel across LEGO Manhattan and visit key locations from the Marvel Universe, such as Stark Tower, Asteroid M and thew X-Mansion.

Like the other LEGO games, players will have to solve a lot of puzzles, some harder than others and require players to really look around and try everything (including breaking anything they can break for hidden bonus points). You can play on your own or with 2 players, which might be easier as there is quite a lot of characters swapping around needed to use each super hero's ability for the tasks ahead. But of course, once you get the hang of playing on your own, it's not that difficult to swap around.

Comparing to LEGO Batman 2, Marvel Super Heroes feels more action packed and intense (our thought from the first scene) there is also the additional one on one fight scene included, but there is enough instructions to get the player through it, and it turned out to be really funny as well, minimising the impact of the fight!

As mentioned before, we haven't gone very far in the game, Abby just finished defeating Sand Man, while I went further and now going after Doctor Octopus! Initially Abby (note that the game is suitable for 7 years + and is PG rated) was a tiny bit scared, but after some help, she had so much fun she re-started the game so she can play it all by herself! There was a lot of giggling and chuckling moments, the dialog is hilarious, and some things the characters do are as well (see images above)! Occasionally you'll spot the cheeky helpful messages across your screen, for example, if you try to operate a computer system with Captain America, it will say something about the action requiring an intelligent character to operate!

We are also very impressed with the graphics and details they've put in to the game. We see a lot of new LEGO pieces used in the game, and look at how detailed Sand Man is, with all the LEGO sand pieces to make up part of his body! The LEGO minifigures are too adorable to be afraid of, even the guy above that I haven't met yet! When I asked Abby whether she was having fun, she said excitedly "Yea! It's so cool!" "Not scary?" "No! it's so funny!" At the end I had to kick her off the XBox as it was a school day and games are banned. She played purely for testing purpose and she's now eagerly waiting for Friday evening when weekend starts! (That frees up our 2DS hoho!) Abby's favourite character was Superman in LEGO Batman 2 as she get to fly. Let's see whether Iron Man will be her favourite this time, or any other character from over 100 Marvel characters that will be appearing in the game!

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes game will be out tomorrow Friday 15th November 2013 in XBox 360, PS3, Wii U and PC format, and they will also be released on the brand new XBox One and PS4 later.
