Breakfast with Santa with Garden Centre Group

Breakfast with Santa, Tea with Santa, Garden Centre Christmas event

Last Saturday we had a fun filled Christmassy day! We started our day with a lovely breakfast, which wasn't just any ordinary breakfast. It was a Christmassy breakfast at the Leyland Garden Centre with many others and the Penguin family (!), where we waited eagerly for Santa to join us!

We all woke up feeling really excited and got to the garden centre early. After all we wouldn't want Santa to wait! Leyland garden centre has a really lovely cafe area which is spacious and bright. There is also a small indoor play area where the kids can release some steam while the adults chill out. There is free Wi-Fi access as well with fantastic signal, making it a great place for chatting online or even working!

We went straight for the function room at the back and were really impressed! It's like we just walked through a magical door and entered Santa's dining room in his grotto! All tables come with party crackers, even for the Penguin family!

We were well looked after and were offered tea/ coffee, orange/ berry squash upon arrival, which were all refillable! As soon as everyone has arrived, the fresh breakfast started arriving on hot plates. Everything was just so delicious and perfectly cooked! Look at how happy Abby was from pulling everyone's crackers and with her food too!

When everyone was almost finished (which didn't take long as we were all eager to meet Santa), we heard bells jingling and saw Santa arriving through another entrance. He's exactly like how we pictured he would be! Clay was a bit shy, and Abby starstrucked! At the end they both got a lovely present from Santa.

While we were busy talking to Santa, his helpers placed a delicious homemade decorate-yourself gingerbread man on the tables for each child. It made a lovely surprise for us when we got back to our seats! Both Abby and Clay were eyeing at the toppings, but both me and hubby found the gingerbread man really scrumptious! The helpers were really thoughtful as well and has provided paper bags and foils for us in case we needed to wrap up the gingerbread men for takeaway.

We had an amazing experience having breakfast with Santa, and Abby said: "Now I believe because I have finally seen Santa!" I like it that apart from the novelty of having breakfast with Santa, everything from food and environment to service and attention to details, they were all top notch, providing customers with an unforgettable experience! We have agreed that we will be doing this every year as part of our new Christmas tradition!

Leyland Garden Centre is part of The Garden Centre Group that have branches all over the country. There bound to be one near you! If you are interested in having breakfast with Santa as well, do check out their website and see whether there is availability at your branch. If not, I'd recommend you to jot it down for next year, it's really good and you won't regret it! They do Tea with Santa too! Children's price are £9.99 each with unlimited squash, adults £7.99 each, or £3.99 for a mini breakfast (Danish pastry with tea or coffee).

After our breakfast, we let the kids play in the soft play area while we finished off our last round of tea on the nice big sofas. I had to tell everyone to get moving before I fall asleep! There was a The Snowman and The Snowdog Treasure Hunt at the garden centre, and Abby was roaming everywhere trying to find all 10 characters! At the end both of them were given a Lint chocolate bear as a reward, ending the whole experience perfectly!

The garden centre itself has lots of beautiful Christmas decorations and gifts on offer. We loved their singing deer at the main entrance, and I also bought 2 Christmas tree ornaments to add to my collection! Then I spotted a lovely exotic variety of their Orchids, which are on average £19.99 each pot. But the species is not commonly seen in other places. I was really tempted to buy one but seeing that none of my Orchid survived in our home, I decided not to.

We are definitely looking forward to our next year's Christmas visit again!
