Clarks Children Shoes AW13 Collection

Clarks children shoes, Clarks Autumn Winter 2013, health care recommended children shoes

It's been a while since we got Clay's first pair of My First Shoes from Clarks. We have bought him other shoes after, but at the end of the day, Clarks' is still the one that guarantees quality and development support for young children's feet. Even Abby's podiatrist recommends it.

We were invited to Clarks' Spring/ Summer 2014 collection event, unfortunately we couldn't make it. I will be getting the press information after the event, which I'll be featuring here on my blog, or you can take a look on their website now for a sneak preview here. For now, let's take a look at their Autumn/ Winter 2013 collection, with some design that sure will last through till next Spring. If you haven't checked out their new collection lately, read on. If you have, do read on as well and see what we think about the collection!

Note: I just realised that apart from the first picture at the top, I've completely forgotten to take a look at other First Walking Shoes. I think subconsciously I was too focused on shoes that are suitable for my own children!

At this busiest time of the year, the staff was still very patient and showed me their children's collection. For the boys, their best sellers are the Crazy Crew First Shoes, or the Zander Boy Junior which is the older kids' version. The colour certainly played a part! Although shoe laces means that we have to tie them over and over again, we do love the bright orange against the khaki leather! Clay was wearing his trainers for a while now, as soon as he put these on, both me and hubby thought that he looked much trendier (excuse the partially folded up pants leg)! I do love the smart and sporty look instead of the just sporty look!

We were glad that staffs are all patient with young children. Clay is very particular with shoes and he insist in having his old shoes back on, even if they are uncomfortable (a whole size too small!). He kept shoving his old shoes into her hands so she could put them on for him (we refused to) haha. She was very kind and not shown any annoyance at all! At the end we decided on the Crazy Crew First Shoes (Junior starts at size 7, which is half a size too big for Clay), and put them on him while he was being distracted. No complains at all ever since!

The Diggy Grunge ankle boots (infant and Junior) are smart and trendy. I love the foldover cuff showing tartan details, and by folding it back up you can turn it into proper boots perfect for this season!

According to the staff, a lot of customers have been enquiring about these Diggy Dan Chelsea-style boots. If you are one of them then the good news is that they are finally here! They are certainly much easier to put on while still looking on-trend!

For those who love their dinosaurs and shoes with characters on, the Stompo It (infant and junior) with 3D dinosaur clawing its way out of the shoe will certainly appeal!

There are of course many more styles, and you can check them out in store or online.

As a mum who loves shopping for my daughter, I of course couldn't resist looking at the girls' shoes, and neither can Abby! The above Kelpie Blaze (left, junior) and Kelpie Flare (right, junior) are both best sellers for junior girls' shoes this season. They are more versitle for sure and great for the weather. Though both me and Abby had our eyes on other designs!

I love these Snuggle love (infant and junior)! I love the knitted pattern against the slate grey suede, and the fluffy faux fur after folding it down. They look really cosy too!

For girls who love sparkles! The Ella Lady (infant and junior) is very festive and are perfect for parties, which does not limit to this season either! They also have a similar style in ballet pump version.

I really like these smart looking patent Dolly Ruby boots too, especially the criss-cross strap details!

Abby had her eyes set on the purple Golda Fair boots, and I can understand why. The fluffy rim, butterflies and flowers are very cute indeed! I'd certainly consider as I like the extra protection at the heel and toe. Abby always trips over and loves to kick about, these boots are just perfect for her!

Again, there are many more designs instore and online. I really like the new season's designs, apart from the cute selection, you can also go for trendy. What's not to like on top of quality children shoes that podiatrists and health visitors recommends?

While browsing through the A/W13 collection, I also spotted their sport shoes section. I know Clarks always have a sporty range for children, but I don't remember them having so many choices, and all fab looking too! Perhaps it's the way they laid out their sport shoes, or the attractive poster making them stand out. Love it!

I had a sneak peak at their Spring Summer 2014 collection on their website, and wished I could have made it to their event! Can't wait for them to launch the new collection oficially so I can physically see them and perhaps pick something summery up for Abby!

Disclosure: We were invited to review the aw13 collection as well as review a pair of their shoes; all opinions are honest and our own
