Joker's Masquerade Child Army Girl Costume

I do like fancy dress/ costumes that can enhance role-playing fun, but most of the girls' costumes are either princess or fairy related, and boys' super heroes or law enforcement related. We like to see more different kind of role-plays happening in this house, a bit more like Chloe's Closet where each day (episode) she plays different scenes, but normal shops don't usually stock these.

While browsing Joker's Masquerade collection of children costumes for a costume they have kindly offered us to review, I was impressed! What an amazing selection! Not only do they have most of the popular children costumes (licensed ones), they also stock a whole lot of unusual ones such as historical, original fairytales, and slightly less popular uniforms such as Ninja, Astronauts and Army! It took us a while before we settled on an Army Girl costume, which will work as casual wear too!

The costume is prettier than I thought! It's very smooth (100% Polyester but a bit like Lycra), nicely made and as I said before, it can be easily worn as a casual wear. The metal buttons does cut through the thread, which happened to my old Next coat as well, so I'd recommend using stronger nylon thread to secure any metal buttons on garments before wearing them out.

The cap is a bit on the thinner side and might struggle to stay on if hair is tied into a pony tail (it doesn't have the hole for it), otherwise it looks pretty cool (hair up in a bun or down)! The elasticated ribbons on each side of the skirt can shorten the sides for shape.

We couldn't find Abby's sunglasses for posing and kind of forgotten her leggings, but look at that attitude seeping out from her! I didn't even have to tell her how to pose, she just did it haha! She looks great in the costume, and with a pair of leggings and her favourite high top trainers she'll be all ready to go out! Mind you, it is more a Summer wear if it's for going out.

Today Abby is suppose to dress up as a known book character for World Book Day. I wish I've bought one of their Red Riding Hood (they have 4 different styles in children size!) costume! Next year we will be ready!
