Butlins Bognor Regis - Wave Hotel

Butlins Bognor Regis, Wave Hotel, Butlins Accommodation

Way, waaayy overdue post! Main reason being that we took a lot of pictures during our break and I had problem selecting the best ones to post up, as well as considering how to write the post without overloading you with information (I want to tell you everything!).

It's been almost a year now (*face turning red*) since our last visit, and as I finally get a chance to sit down and look through the pictures again, I'd love to tell you a bit more about our accommodation at Butlins Bognor Regis - the Wave Hotel

There are 4 lifts in Wave hotel
When we arrived at Butlins Bognor Regis, a sign board for Wave Hotel led us away from the resort's main entrance to the hotel's entrance, allowing us to drive straight into their car park. Hubby dropped us off directly next to the side entrance of the hotel, but you can also walk towards the hotel's main entrance from the car park.

I do recommend walking a bit further and go in through the main entrance when you arrive because the lobby looked amazing and it made us super excited that we were staying there!

The Wave Hotel cafe provides a quieter and more comfortable area to relax, and you can also enjoy a brew and/ or light meals too. While I was enjoying my coffee, hubby and the kids went into the Games Port to have a play on the Wii console. There were also XBox and Playstation games available.

The room we stayed in used to be called Dolphin room, which has a balcony and sea view. They've now simplified the room selection process by allowing you to choose the balcony and sea view as an additional option on top of a standard room.

The room was absolutely stunning, definitely something you'd expect from a 4 star hotel. We were really impressed with its modern design and facilities provided inside, including what you can see in the pictures, as well as a flatscreen TV with DVD player. We also loved their little touches like the elephant origami towel, reminding me that Butlins and their staff are there to bring joy to our otherwise routine life.

The view from the balcony was fantastic, and especially nice on a beautiful day. We were also lucky to get a good view of the fireworks that went off at the harbour (from a Yacht Club I think) when we stayed there, making our stay extra special.

The kids were absolutely fascinated with their separate bunk-bed room! Abby quickly bagsied the top bed for herself, but Clay couldn't resist and kept climbing up to join her! They each had their own TV and DVD player, which can be used to play video games as well (both DVD and games can be rented with refundable deposit at the reception). I'm just glad that they didn't get used to that! Do bring their headsets if your kids like to turn the volume up.

We rented a bed guard for Clay, and they also have a lot of other useful items for rent too. I thought it was very considerate of Butlins as we didn't have to bring the whole house with us! Some payments are non refundable but for the convenience, it's worth it.

Another thing I was impressed with was their cleaning service. Not only did they clean up our room and placed another towel origami animal on our bed, they've also plopped Abby's teddy bear up on the bed! It's those little touches that counts.

Their toilet and bathroom again is a 4 star hotel quality, and we abolutely loooved their light changing shower head! The power shower was superb and with the lights it was like a spa experience.

Some will say that the Wave Hotel is more suitable for families with slightly older children, as facilities for younger children are mostly on the other side where the Shoreline Hotel is. However, our kids absolutely loved the hotel and room, the service was top notch, it's located right next to The Deck Buffet Restaurant where we had most of ours meals, and it's only 3 minutes walk away from the Skyline Pavilion, where Abby and Clay spent most of their time at.

We have no complains about the Wave Hotel at all, and would love to stay there again. Although, we wouldn't mind trying their Ocean Hotel next as we absolutely loved the food at the Kaleidoscope Restaurant (situated inside the Ocean Hotel), and their interior is beautiful as well.

To read about what our food experience was during our stay, do read my next Butlins Bognor Regis post.
