New LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Range

LEGO Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle, Nickelodeon, LEGO 2014

Ok. Clay is a bit too young for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle (TMNT), but Abby has obviously heard her classmates talk about it as she knew exactly what this is! The reason why I enquired about an opportunity to review the LEGO TMNT Mutation Chamber Unleashed set, is because I did watch the original cartoon in the past and liked it, and I really like the vibrant, poisonous colour bricks in this particular set! I also think that the LEGO Spider Bytes is pretty adorable (he look just like the one in the show, and I still think he's cute!).

The £19.99 set includes 196 pieces, 2 mini figures, a spider, Spider Bytes and an instruction manual.

I like it that this set includes a story instruction, telling you how the LEGO mutation chamber works. You use the spinning electrodes to push Victor and the spider into the chamber, then turn the chamber to reveal Spider Bytes! It's almost like watching a magic show, but knowing how the trick works.

TMNT fans can use this set to replay one of the TMNT episodes, and shout "Kung Fu Frogs" at Raphael! Now if only if the LEGO Spider Bytes can spit LEGO acid gloop as well! Or if you are like me who love the transparent bright coloured bricks, then collect them for your next creation!

This set contains a sheet of transparent stickers which looks fab, but they do reveal air bubbles, so ideally you can stick the stickers on in one go without redoing them.

The range include other sets of course, such as the above Shredder's Lair Rescue (left, £49.99) and T-Rawket Sky Strike (right, £29.99). I think I'd love the Turtle Lair Attack (£49.99) next as it's their home and I can collect Master Splinter too!

The range is out now at LEGO Online Store, Legoland and other good toy retailers.
