Nintendo Mii Creation and In-game Use

For those of you who have a Nintendo game console, you might be familiar with Mii. Basically it's a customisable profile avatar that represents you, whether you are playing solo games or online. The cute thing about Mii is that they have a platform to wander around, and if you leave them for long enough, you'll notice interaction between the Miis! Apart from just being an animated avatar, they also represent you in games, such as in Brain Academy, and you can even bring them into games like Animal Crossing!

Mii creation is a very addictive thing to do. Once you start you can almost guarantee that you won't be able to stop, and you'll probably start making other characters as well! A while ago I started creating my Mii on our 2DS, and although it was just me and Abby playing on it, I've also created a character for Clay and Hubby! There is so many choices for each part of your face, and you can even customise the size, position and angle for some, that it is very possible to create a Mii that look just like you!

Apart from creating a Mii from scratch, you can also use your own head shot for your character, or use a QR code from the Internet for specially designed character faces (some people are just more artistic!)

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

I heard about the possibility of customising your Animal Crossing: New Leaf character using your Mii character's face (after you've unlocked the Shampoodles salon), but I've never done it as I really like my in game character, and I thought it'll look a bit weird to have a Mii in the game!

For this post, I've plucked up the courage to use Abby Mii's face (mine's too old!) for my character (I thought it was permanent until I paid for another change again), and I really like the result! Then I realised that I can change face any time I want, which was a bonus! I think she looks really cute so I've left her like that for now.

I think I'll encourage Abby to try to create a Mii with a photo of herself and use it for her in game character, it'll be so funny seeing her walking around!

If you haven't tried making a Mii before, you should give it a go, it's really fun even though you think that you won't be using them!
