We went to the LolliBop Festival 2014 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic! I'm not sure whether it was because the kids are older now so they understood a bit more about what was going on, or the festival was generally better, we felt that it was much better than LolliBop Festival 2012 when we last went, which we thought was pretty good already!

You can tell that Clay is a big fan of Andy! #SameSmile
As one of the LolliBop official blogger family, we were given the access to the VIP/ Guest area where the press area was located at. The VIPs have access to their own gourmet burger van, disco, face painting, picnic area and a separate Meet and Greet queue for meeting the stars. Each VIP Lolliboppers were also given a goodie bag to take home. If you like the sound of it, do make sure you book VIP tickets for next year's LolliBop Festival when they become available.

While Abby was getting her face painted, hubby took Clay to queue at the VIP's Meet and Greet to see Clay's favourite CBeebies star Andy Day. Clay is a big fan of Andy's Dinosaur Adventure and loves to put on his backpack and hat and pretend to be Andy! Abby managed to jump into the picture after her face painting, which was very nicely done!

It was an amazing day!

After the downpour which cleared all the grey clouds from the morning, we were greeted by the gorgeous sun and sky. I think we enjoyed the LolliBop Live Stage most as it was really entertaining and made us feel like we were at a festival, even though it's one for children.

The best part of the day had to be when Justin Fletcher appeared. He is so popular that we adults had to be told to move off the benches if the Lolliboppers couldn't find a space to sit, as Lollibop is all about the kids afterall! I do think that the adults were as excited as the kids, if not more!

Justin, as usual, was really entertaining and we loved his and his dancers' singing and dancing. The children did get a bit distracted by the large amount of bubbles flying past, which adds a great touch to the festival in my opinion.

Really yummy Gingerbread Men. The kids ate the whole thing for the first time ever!
Apart from watching shows, we also had lots of fun doing other things. The kids each decorated a gingerbread men at the LolliKitchen, which must be really yummy as they both ate the whole thing! They never really liked the hard gingerbread men, at least now I know that they will eat the soft ones. As LolliBop tickets covered everything apart from food and drinks in the festival, this decorate and eat session and all the other activities were completely free!

DS addicts! Yes 3 years old Clay plays well and impressed the Nintendo staff! #QuickLearner
My DS (2DS) addicts couldn't be happier when they saw Nintendo at the festival. They both did all the challenges and won themselves a cute Pikachu hat each (and something else I think).

Abby was really happy to take on the Pokemon Art Academy challenge, as she has been practising lots at home! Clay on the other hand sat right down at Yoshi's New Island (his favourite Nintendo 3DS game) table and impressed the Nintendo staff by showing off his hands eye coordination and quick learning skills (he learned how to play Mario Golf: World Tour from the staff). I'm not sure whether I should feel proud or ashamed (note that him wearing glasses has nothing to do with TV, tablet or DS!)

I like it that the Nintendo staff were very friendly and helpful, and there were lots of bean bags to make kids feel comfortable too.

Adore their #SiblingLove
This was our kids' best time of the day apart from watching the live shows - learning how to become a pirate at the Pirate School! They were taught how to cheer, arrr, scrub the deck, shout "Man overboard!" and salute to the captain, etc, which was really funny to watch. The "pirate teachers" from Southbank Centre were fantastic with the kids and you can tell that all the kids have enjoyed themselves.

My dearests
Overall we really enjoyed ourselves, and the kids had a blast. I think that it's really worth going if you have children aged under 10 and are big fans of CBeebies/ CBBC characters. There are others as well of course. It is a festival for small people, so watching live shows is one of the main thing to do there. It is very entertaining and the little fans will definitely not be disappointed. There is plenty of other activities to do as well to keep the little ones busy. We stayed all the way until the end like many others, which says it all!

We are looking forward to see what's in store for LolliBop Festival 2015!
