LEGO CHIMA - Vardy's Ice Vulture Glider

LEGO Family Blogger, LEGO CHIMA Vardy's Ice Vulture Glider, kid's review

What better than having a child to do a toy review? We've received a box full of fantastic LEGO sets last month, and I knew exactly who would enjoy this LEGO CHIMA Vardy's Ice Vulture Glider set the most - my soon to be 9 years old nephew Luca! I'm really happy that he wrote this review for my blog, and I really love it! In fact, I think that this is a fantastic idea, so if time allows, I'd definitely invite Luca and his elder sister Ayisha (and my own children of course, when they are a bit older) to blog for me again.

I haven't amended any of Luca's review, he even took the images himself. I just gave them a little enhancement as it was a bit dark when he took them. I was really impressed with his eagerness to take the pictures as soon as he can!

I love Lego, so when my auntie asked if I would like to review a lego for her I was really excited and said “yes!” I was secretly hoping for a ninjago set but instead I got the Lego Chima Vardy’s Ice Vulture glider 70141. The pictures on the box was ok but when I made the set, I was thought it was really brilliant and outstanding! The box set included 3 packets of Lego, some stickers and an instruction booklet. The mini figures are Vardy the Vulture and Lundor the Leopard.

The special thing about this set is that the vulture can shoot ice missiles and the really nice thing is that the back of the vulture can come off like an escape pod. The fire turret can also turn and go up and down!

It was not very hard to build but the wings, missile holders and the neck were difficult to connect. However I managed with some force. The aqua blue ice pieces such as the ice bones on the wings and the claws on the feet really stand out. The red-yellow fire and fire chi also stand out.

I would say, this set is as great as my Lego Ninjago Kai Fighter and Lego Star Wars A-wing Starfighter sets. I would give this set 4/5 and would recommend it to kids who are not even Chima fans.
