Christmas Crafting Fun with Baker Ross
I really like Baker Ross. Not only are their art and craft materials and kits very affordable (and pretty good quality too!), they have a lot of fun crafts kits for us to make. As I'm not very creative, with their kits I won't have to give myself a headache with the design, and the children can just follow the really easy instructions to create really lovely crafts.
We've received a box of Baker Ross Christmas Craft goodies a while ago, and I was well impressed with the PR's choices! There was the must have Christmas Card kit plus decorative materials and Christmas themed trinket boxes, but also the really pretty Stained Glass effect decoration and the really really nice decorate your own candle light holder and LED tealights! Love! These crafts are so easy to do it's been featured in one of the Top 10 easy Christmas Craft Ideas post too!
I had to write about this first as it's my favourite craft in the box! For this craft we were sent:
Ceramic House Tealight Holders (pack of 4) £4.96
Glitter Porcelain & Glass Paint Pens (pack of 5, pack B) £9.99
LED Tealights (pack of 4) £2.99
I'm not very keen in mess, so although paint pens are more expensive, I prefer them over proper paint and brushes. The paint flows easily from these pens, and drawing on the ceramic houses was really easy. I love the little stars at the top of the houses, making it very Christmassy. The good thing is, even if my drawing wasn't very nice, when you place the flickering LED tealight at the back, it still look really good!
The kids absolutely love the LED tealights, it's the only one they can touch without hurting themselves, but of course we will have to tell them the obvious difference between the LED one and the real ones (which we don't have). The flickering of the lights are really realistic, and the candle light gave me the same calm and cosiness a real candle gives (I was basically dozing off with them flickering next to me!). I'll definitely be back for more! They do £11.20 for a pack of 16, which is equivalent to 70p each LED light, and you can change battery too.
Christmas Gift Box Kits (pack of 3) £3.45
The kids really enjoyed making the Easter version from Baker Ross, but both me and Abby think that there are more glue involved for the Christmas kits (not really a problem of course #OCD). They are really cute though and I think that they'll make lovely stocking fillers!
Owl Stained Glass Effect Decoration (pack of 6) £3.96
- includes pre-cut squares of cellophane sheets in 6 colours, ribbons and 3 designs
So easy and pretty! I normally buy cellophanes for gift wrapping, so I seldom buy the plain coloured ones. These pre-cut cellophanes are just the right size for crafting (still need to cut them into shapes of course), and the effect is stunning against the black card paper. They also have 2 different Christmas versions, perfect for decorating the house with.
Hanging Stocking Card Blanks (pack of 6) £1.49
Self-adhesive Pom Poms (pack of 200) £2.99
Glitter Bow Stickers (pack of 100) £2.99
These hanging stocking cards are really cute, and so easy to decorate as you just have a full surface to work on. With the right decorations you can get your personalised Christmas cards sorted in no time! These came with a silver cord too, so whoever received your card can hang them up on their tree.
As mentioned above, our favourite craft from the Christmas box is the candlelight set and then the stained glass owls. They are so pretty and really get us into the Christmas mood! Less than 7 weeks to go!
