We were given the adorable Panda Family and a Girl's Dress and Cape Set (a "not for sale" item") as part of our Friends of Sylvanian Families Sylvanian Families' 30th anniversary pack. I didn't review them in my previous post as I wanted to feature them together with some of our own Sylvanian Families collection, to give you a better idea of what they'd look like when they have joined our Sylvania.
The Panda Family (RRP £15.99, suitable for 3 years +; pose-able figures, each comes dressed) , known as the Bamboo family in Sylvania, comes with:
Father Bertram Bamboo
Mother Alexandra Bamboo
Brother Kane Bamboo
Sister Clarice Bamboo
and they are ["a family of writers and historians who take a great interest in the forest. They also have a reputation for being a bit accident prone"]!
|Well made outfits|
Aren't they adorable? I think they are fitting in quite well!
The Girl's Dress and Cape set isn't really available for purchase, but I had to show you because it is just soo cute! It is our first Sylvanian Families Winter outfit too. Look how cosy Sister Panda is? The design seems fairly simple so maybe I can make my own little outfits for the rest of the Sylvanian Families. Wendy at Sylvanian-Families.net has definitely inspired me, she creates beautiful Sylvanian Families' Victorian style dresses and has even won an award for at least one of them!
That reminds me. You can now join the Sylvanian Families Fan Club for £9.99 a year, and not only do you get a welcome gift (exclusive Freya the Chocolate Rabbit in special outfit and collectable gift box), you'll also get 4 quarterly magazines that comes with DIY accessories ideas, as well as stories and other activities, etc.
The Summer 2015 magazine teaches you how to make desserts with buttons and papier mache and tote bags which doesn't involve sewing! I think it's not bad at all for the price!
