Having been watching the Scooby-Doo! TV series with the kids, we thought that we know what to expect from a Scooby-Doo! movie. But no! The Scooby-Doo! and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery movie has taken us by surprise, and I must say that this is one of the best Scooby-Doo! show we've seen!

To be honest, it took me a while to notice that the show was based on the actual rock band KISS (when I heard a familiar song!), and then found out that it was actually a collaboration with them, featuring 6 of KISS' classic tracks plus a brand new original song from them too. But that's not even it! The band, including the original band members Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons, actually voiced for their own characters as well! What a surprise! (We also wonder how much of their manager in the show is based on their real manager? *chuckles*)

If you know the band KISS, you'll probably know a bit of what to expect from the Scooby-Doo! and KISS: Rock and Roll Mystery, which features KISS' signature painted faces, fire breathing, shooting rockets, etc.

But if you know Scooby-Doo! and Velma's motto, this movie might take you by surprise and makes you wonder for a good hour and 20 minutes whether things has finally changed in Scooby-Doo!. I don't want to give away too much, but it's definitely the Scooby-Doo! show to watch!

Synopsis:
"Scooby and the gang travel down to the newly opened 'KISS World' theme park in order to watch the famous glam rock band play at their highly anticipated Halloween concert. But when they arrive, it's discovered that the park has been closed to the public! Mystery Inc. teams up with KISS in order to unite their forces in an epic rock 'n' roll battle, and save the park from its impending doom."
The PG rated movie is out on DVD now, retailed at £9.99.

Oh, and it helps if you have seen the Japanese manga Sailor Moon or Sen Seiya before, for a really funny clip that me and Abby couldn't stop laughing at!
