The news we were waiting for is finally here - Justin Fletcher will make an appearance at Geronimo 2016! I have to say that without Justin, a festival for little ones isn't quite the same, so it's great to hear that it's official!
As I've mentioned in my previous post about this year's Geronimo Festival, it will be held in 2 locations, one for each May bank holiday. The dates are:
Sunday 1st to Monday 2nd May 2016 (May Bank Holiday) at Harewood House
Sunday 29th to Monday 30th May 2016 (Spring Bank Holiday) at Tatton Park
Do note that Justin Fletcher will only appear on the Sundays, so if you haven't booked your tickets yet and do want to go, make sure you've checked the programme first before booking.
Apart from the CBeebies super star's appearance, there are also the following new acts that will be added to this year's Geronimo Festival (for previously announced programme please read my previous post):
- Supported by Mothercare UK, includes bubble and snow machines, giant parachutes, face painting, soft play, crafts, pom poms and live up-beat music and timetabled "rave sessions"
- Larger than life puppet walkabouts featuring a life-sized giraffe Dolly and her baby Juno with moments of intimate audience interaction including feeding and cleaning up poo training!
Saul's Junk Orchestra
- Pop up musical installations in the woods and the main festival field. Geronimites can also join in one of their workshops
The Highland Valley gold & gem panning
The Geronimo Festival sounds like the biggest festival we'll be attending, it's all very exciting! We'll be looking forward to see Justin Fletcher on stage, and I want to have a go at Gold and Gems panning!
If you like the programme as well (don't forget to read my previous post for the rest of the programme, there is a LOT to do! You can find it through the purple link above) do grab the tickets soon, the early bird tickets (£18.50pp) are still available until this Sunday 31st January 2016. Tickets will be £25 per person from Monday 1st February 2016 onwards.
