When Character Options' PR contacted me with an opportunity to review a Snackeez! Snack & Drink in one Cup, I absolutely loved the idea of having a travel cup for kids that can hold both snacks and drinks without spilling (we had a milkshake spillage once in the car. The kids were only allowed water bottles since then hehe). I was really skeptical however, when I received the cup because there was nothing to cover the hole up where the straw is. Luckily I tested it out!
I filled the cup with water up to the top edge of the rubber hand grip as advised, sealed the cup with the snack bowl and turned it upside down (over the sink at first because I was worried). Nothing came out.
So I adjusted the straw here and there like how the kids would, shook it, and then shook it much harder than the kids or accidents would do. I also tried keeping it tilted in an angle, because spillage normally occurs when air manage to go into the cup. But apart from a few drops coming out when I shook it really hard, it has lived up to my initial expectations!
Apart from being no-spill, the cup can hold 450ml of liquid, and 115ml of snacks. You can even divide the snack bowl by, for example, using a silicone cupcake mould (so it can be squished to fit), and hold both wet (fruits) and dry (biscuits) snacks together.
So now we have an amazing snack and drinks cup for on the go, and I'll definitely grab another one at least (they are RRP £9.99 each and comes in 3 different colours) so both kids can serve themselves during our usual 2 hours drive to our family.
I'm actually not quite sure why Snackeez! is advertised for above 8 years old only, perhaps the size of the cup is quite big for little hands to hold, but I think Clay managed very well, and since it doesn't spill, we are happy for him to bring it in the car and just leave it sitting on the side of his chair.
I've also discovered other advantages of having a Snackeez! at home too!
I was trying to bring snacks and drinks out from the kitchen to the living room, and I had my hands absolutely full. But because of the Snackeez! cup, I managed to hold my tea with a small plate on top of it, a bowl of grapes, and a snackeez! cup that has Clay's drink and snacks in it all at the same time. If I had to carry an open cup drink and a separate bowl of snack for him, I would either need a serving tray or go back to the kitchen again.
I can even manage another Snackeez! cup with all that, and if I have 4 Snackeez! cups, I can serve all 4 of us in one go!
Clay was off sick yesterday, when I found another brilliant use of it. When children (or adults. Especially men!) are poorly, they wouldn't want to get out of bed, or just want to lie down on the sofa with a nice cose blanket.
Normally the kids aren't allowed to consume drinks and food on the sofa, and no one can bring food and drinks into the bed. But with Snackeez!, I don't have to worry about spillage (maybe crumbs, but I can live with that especially when they are poorly), so Clay managed to enjoy a snack and drink while lying down comfortably, without me hovering over him to catch spillage.
So yes, I can highly recommend Snackeez! Snack and Drink cup, whether it's for travelling or at home. The colours are quirky and fun, they'll definitely be popular!
And! For Star Wars, Frozen and Shopkin fans, Snackeez! Junior cups will be available soon in slightly smaller size for smaller hands. Maybe I'll hold onto getting Clay another Snackeez!, he would probably like the Star Wars one hehe. If there is a Marvel range coming out, we'll definitely go for that!
