Petit-Fernand Sticker Labels

Disclaimer: Some pictures have been edited to cover part of the children's personal information. This has changed part of the pattern/ design of the labels featured, which makes them not entirely true to what we've received. Stock photos has been included to this post to feature the original pattern.

Can't believe we are almost at the end of another school year! This year I've been a very grumpy mummy, because ever since Clay has joint school for swimming for the first half of the year, he has managed to lose a towel and a full set, I mean a FULL set of school uniform. At least. I actually lost count of how many pairs of pants and jumpers he's lost.

I have written his name on each piece of school uniform, but they always fade away. Then I swapped to another marker pen, which stays really well but it's too strong and because I can't write small with marker pen, it felt like I've ruined the clothes.

Recently I spotted a company called Petit-Fernand on Facebook (they've actually been around for years), who specialises in personalised sticker labels, and I was especially interested in their Stick-on labels. It's perfect for parents like me who aren't keen in playing around with irons and needles just to get labels on the clothes. I also noticed that their delivery takes less time as they are based in France.

Petit-Fernand has kindly offered me a voucher to spend in their shop, so that me and the kids can experience the personalisation and ordering process ourselves. We've ordered enough Stick-on Clothing Labels (£3 for 10 labels, discount available for more) to cover the kids for the rest of this year and next year. We've also ordered some Stick-on Item Labels (£3 for 10 labels, discount available for more) for the kids to stick on their things that they bring to school, like glasses cases, lunchboxes etc. Lastly, I wanted some labels for jams that I'm planning to make (when I actually get on with it!). Their Jam Jars Labels (£3 for 6 labels) will work as Baby Food Jars Labels as well.

The kids really like to choose their own patterns and icons, which there is plenty, but they both have a firm favourite that they'd like to use for everything, even if I encouraged them to choose a different pattern or colour.

The stickers arrived in less than 7 days, which I'm really happy about. To my surprise, they didn't come in loose sheets, but a booklet! I really like this because I'll know exactly where the stickers are whenever I need them.

The booklet includes instructions on how to use each type of label:

Clay loves his black, contrasting with some brighter colours. He also love the little pixel bug(?), and won't look at all the other lovely designs! The only thing I managed to get him to do is to change the text colour for other labels.

Abby really loves the floral background pattern, pink text (because it fitted the best with the pattern) and panda icon. She refused to change anything though, and to be fair, I love her combination too.

These vinyl labels work brilliantly as long as all the steps for applying them are done properly. I didn't and wasted a few of the labels. They should be stuck on the clothing tags, not the fabric itself. I'll also try to make sure that I press on the whole sticker when applying without leaving out the corners, because that "press and hold for a few seconds" step really makes a difference.

After wash. Labels held on! Just the corners where I didn't press and hold firmly became a bit loose
These are my all time favourite stick-on clothing labels. They are so easy to use! No ironing, no sewing, just press them onto the tags and hold for a few seconds, then wait for 24 hours before use or wash.

Although these stickers are for items only, they are as durable as the stick-on clothing labels, and are dishwasher and microwave resistant too.

When you stick one on an item, you can really feel how strong it holds on. I decided not to let the kids use these on their stationery because it'll be good quality stickers wasted. So I'll wait until we've decided on what they'll use for school packed lunch etc before I stick the labels on for those.

Each sticker sheet also comes with 2 Petit-Fernand mascots' stickers, which are really cute!

Love these patterns! There are other pattern set (currently 6, each set comes with 6 different designs) to choose from too but since we are approaching Summer, and I needed something for my Osthmanthus Jam (very fragrant yellow flowers used in South East Asia for desserts and teas), these labels are perfect. It comes with little fruit stickers as well!

These stickers have a re-writable surface, so you can write, wipe off, and re-write on them again, making them as reusable as the jars!

Happy Seasonal Surprises:

I found 2 sheets of these pretty stickers at the back of the booklet. Apparently it's Petit-Fernand's seasonal freebies (these are for Spring), included in all their orders! They are Stick-on Item Labels, so you can stick them on any clean surface and they are dishwasher and microwave safe. How lovely is it! I can't wait to let the kids use them to decorate their lunchboxes. or maybe I'll keep them for my own use...

Overall, I'm very happy with Petit-Fernand. Ordering is simple and straightforward, delivery is fast, and the quality of their stickers are superb. As long as you follow all the instructions, these stickers will work like a charm.

Petit-Fernand also sell other personaliseable products, do check them out!
