Waterproof Card Game - Dobble Beach Review and Giveaway

How lovely has (and still is) the weather been?! It's just perfect, with the sun out and clear sky, and a nice breeze to balance it out, it certainly make us look forward to Summer! We aren't going anywhere specific this year, but we'll most likely do plenty of family day outs, and perhaps hit the beach!

We are still beach newbies to be honest. Last time we went we had our picnic covered in sand haha. We'll have to do better planning this time. One thing for sure is that we'll bring the all new Dobble Beach card game from Esdevium Games with us, because it's fun and it's waterproof!

Dobble, games for the beach, games for travelling

If you haven't heard of Dobble before, it's a speedy card game where kids have to race against each other to be the first to match 2 symbols on the 2 cards that are laid out, and the one who has matched the most pairs wins.

What's interesting about these cards is that each of them have 6 to 8 symbols (depending on the version), and no matter which 2 cards you lay out, there will always be 1 pair that matches.

There are quite a few versions out now, including the original Dobble game, which comes with 50 cards, 55 symbols and 8 symbols per card, the Dobble Kids, Dobble Star Wars and Dobble Disney Princess, etc.

Dobble Beach (RRP £12.99, suitable for children age 4+, requires 2 to 5 players) consists of 30 cards, 31 symbols related to Summer holiday, and each card contains 6 symbols. It also comes with a rulebook and a mesh pouch to keep the cards in. All the cards are waterproof and durable so you can play it at the beach, by the pool, or even in the mud!

Apart from the game play mentioned above, there are also 5 mini games players can play, which are included in the rulebook, so there is more to do with the 30 cards!

The quality of the cards are brilliant. Initially I thought it would just be the original paper cards laminated, but after taking a closer look, they seem to have printed the symbols onto a durable plastic! The cards are very pretty and with the colour theme, it really makes you think of Summer and want to bring it with you on your holiday!

We really enjoyed playing the game, even Abby's play date had fun playing it! I think we'll be playing more of the original Dobble we have as well!

And here is a chance for you to win your own Dobble Beach for this Summer! Simply follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter below and good luck! x
