I was never an alcohol person. I love how pretty cocktails are, especially those that has layers of colours - green, blue, yellow, orange, just like a lovely picture. But the sharp alcohol taste really stopped me from trying any of the lovely looking cocktails.

When I visited Singapore, there was an option called Mocktails, that are exactly like the cocktails, but without the alcohol. Without doubt I went straight for it - Lychee Frostini Mocktail. I still miss it very much!

In the UK, however, not many places do Mocktails (I don't live in a major city, so shush!) and the only alcohol beverage I drink (while not being pregnant or breast feeding) is pear cider.

When the PR at Jelly Belly contacted me, saying that they have a range of mocktail Jelly Belly beans, I was really excited! I have never tried Mojito, Cosmo and Margarita before, so this is a fantastic opportunity to feel glam (like Sex and the City) without needing to pop down to a posh bar (with babies I am glued to? Yea right).

About the product:
  • £5.36 (125g)
  • Pina Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri, Mojito, Peach Bellini, Pomegranate Cosmo
  • Each presented in it's own compartment

My review:

They are absolutely delicious and fun to eat! Peach Bellini reminded me of my once favourite Archers & Lemonade! Cosmo is chic; Mojito tasted a bit like minty chewing gums, while Margarita (not included in this box) is refreshing and lemony. Pina Colada is very coconutty with a hint of pineapple, and Strawberry Daiquiri has a hint of citrus flavour.

I was gonna say which my favourite is, but I love them all! Needless to say, Abby loves them even more, I had to shoo her away a few times already while writing this up.

I was also sent this great 50 Flavour Gift Box (£22.98 600g) to try their classic flavours. Don't they look colourful and fun? Looks like beads! There are some amazing flavours in the collection like Toasted Marshmallow, Strawberry Cheesecake, Caramel Corn and Tutti Fruitti.

They have a selection of recipes on their website, for you to mix the jelly belly beans together to create some awesome flavours, for example:

From left to right, Fruit Salad, Strawberry Shortcake and Blueberry Muffin

I've also created my own recipes!

Left to Right: Raspberry Dark Chocolate, Chocolate Cookie, Banofee Pie, Paradise Eton Mess
