The Outfit I Would Have Worn

New Look, New Look evening dress, New Look lookbook

As a stay at home mum, I don't often get a chance to dress up for an occasion. Going out is mostly about the school runs and shopping! When I decided to go to BritMums Live! 2013, one of the biggest Bloggers Conference, I put in quite a bit of effort to choose my outfit for the 2 days, following some specific criteria:

Smart Casual (Don't forget the award ceremony in the evening!)
Dress for the Weather (Bring spare for chilly or boiling weather)
Dress for comfort (No killer heels, keep handbag light)

It took me a while to find the 2 perfect outfits for the event that suits me as well. But what if I didn't have all the criteria limiting my choices? What if

I can wear anything I want and I look good in whatever I wear
Weather is not a bother, the temperature will always be perfect, and there is no such thing as sweat or goose bumps
There is no such feeling as pain
Money is not an issue

I was bearing that in mind when I looked through New Look's website, and it was difficult. My choices was unlimited, and the only thing that affects my decision is whether I like it or not. After a good several hours of looking through the website, I found the following 2 gorgeous outfits I would have loved very much to wear to BritMums Live!:

From top to bottom, left to right:

Black Pointelle Knit Shrug £9.99
Coral Floral Strappy Sequin Maxi Prom Dress £49.99
Mutiny by Irregular Choice Gold Corsage Courtesan Clutch £44.99
Gold Square Chain Flat Sandals £15.99
Black Pyramid Grab Clutch £15.99
Red Cross Over Double Ankle Strap Heels £22.99
Brown Animal Chiffon Dip Hem Bandeau Belted Dress £22.99
Pink and Gold Metal Rope Bead Bracelet Stack £6.99
Feather Drop Earrings £3.99
Brown Stud Perspex Hoop Earrings £4.99
Pink Gold Wave Metal Cuff £3.99

To be honest if I can pull the evening dresses off and there is no such thing as temperature, I wouldn't even need the shrug. I do think it goes well with the brown belted dress though! My favourite had to be the bright red shoes. They are definitely a killer! I do often wonder how women who always wear these gorgeous shoes survived the pain, and yes no matter what they say, they do cause pain (have you seen Sex and the City?)! It just proves that we women have higher threshold than men (don't even get me started on giving birth)!

Anyway. I would have loved to pull the above outfits off, but life is never perfect is it? However, if you ask me today whether it was worth changing my body for my 2 gorgeous kids, the answer will always be: "Hell yes! And I'd have them again if I was given a second chance."

Now where is that slimming tea I'm suppose to be drinking...
